  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for glaze)
  • Juice of half of a lemon (for glaze)
  • 2 Tablespoons warm water (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Gently fold in chopped strawberries until coated in flour.
  4. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and zest until smooth.
  5. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients; stir until just mixed.
  6. Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the glaze, mix granulated sugar with lemon juice and warm water until smooth; drizzle over cooled bread.
