  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter (for glaze, softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp strawberry puree

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry filling by cooking strawberries with lemon juice and sugar until thickened. Blend until smooth and cool completely.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, butter, and egg; knead until smooth. Let rise for about 2 hours.
  3. Roll out the dough and spread cooled strawberry filling evenly. Roll tightly and cut into even strips.
  4. Place cut rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes before baking at 350°F for about 20–25 minutes.
  5. Prepare the glaze by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cold strawberry puree until smooth.
  6. Spread glaze over warm rolls and serve immediately.
