  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • about 12 ounces raspberry preserves, with or without seeds

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square pan with aluminum foil, spraying it lightly with cooking spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add all-purpose flour, rolled oats, and optional salt; stir until combined.
  4. Reserve one cup of the mixture for topping and press the rest into the prepared pan to form an even crust.
