  • 1 ½ lbs 85% lean ground beef
  • ½ medium yellow onion (peeled and grated)
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed)
  • 2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley
  • 1 Tbsp white apple vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp ground coriander
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • ⅛ tsp ground allspice
  • 4 burger buns
  • ¼ red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tomato (thinly sliced)
  • ¼ English cucumber (thinly sliced)
  • ¾ c. plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ English cucumber (grated)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed)
  • 1 ½ tsp minced fresh dill
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 Tbsp crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, grated onion, crushed garlic, minced parsley, vinegar, salt, oregano, black pepper, cumin, coriander, crushed red pepper flakes, and allspice. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide into four equal portions and shape each into a patty with a slight indentation in the center.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 5–7 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached.
  4. While cooking the patties, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, crushed garlic, dill, salt, and black pepper in a bowl to create Tzatziki sauce.
  5. Assemble burgers by placing a patty on a bun and topping it with sliced red onion, tomato, cucumber slices, feta cheese, and Tzatziki sauce.
