  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 7 tablespoons melted butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 21 ounces canned cherry pie filling
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a food processor, blend graham cracker crumbs and sugars until combined. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and mix with the crumb mixture. Press into an 8 x 8 casserole pan and bake for 7 minutes. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
  2. While cooling, beat cream cheese and chopped pecans together until smooth. Spread evenly over the cooled crust.
  3. Layer with Cool Whip followed by cherry pie filling without mixing.
  4. Top again with Cool Whip and finish with crushed graham crackers if desired.
  5. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
