  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 10 ounces dark chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and cocoa powder. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add granulated sugar and mix well.
  4. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  5. Stir in flour, salt, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  6. Pour brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out slightly moist.
  8. Allow brownies to cool in the pan while preparing the peanut butter layer.
  9. In another bowl, beat together creamy peanut butter, melted cooled butter, vanilla extract, and sifted powdered sugar until smooth.
  10. Spread this mixture over the cooled brownie layer evenly.
  11. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine dark chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir until smooth.
  12. Pour the ganache over the peanut butter layer evenly.
