  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 6 slices cooked and crumbled turkey bacon
  • 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Gently fold in Swiss cheese and crumbled turkey bacon.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Mix ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl and spread over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
