  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine eggs, bread crumbs, chopped onion, ground beef, milk, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, tomato paste, minced garlic, and garlic powder. Mix until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf form and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  4. For the sauce, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Pour half of the sauce over the meatloaf and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and pour the remaining sauce on top; return to oven for another 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. Let rest before slicing.
