  • 2 chicken or turkey sausages (casings removed)
  • 4 cups broth
  • 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 TBSP ketchup
  • 1 carrot (julienned)
  • 1/3 cup ditalini pasta
  • 1/2 can red kidney beans
  • 1/2 can white beans
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp celery seed
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: dice the onion, julienne the carrot, and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, sauté the onion until translucent; add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the chicken or turkey sausage and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, ketchup, and julienned carrot; bring to a simmer.
  5. Add red kidney beans, white beans, and ditalini pasta; season with dried basil, celery seed, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  6. Allow to simmer for about 20 minutes or until pasta is cooked through; serve hot.
