  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 and 1/4 cups blended old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 and 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add brown sugar and beat until fluffy. Incorporate the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients along with one cup of rolled oats.
  4. Blend the remaining rolled oats into a coarse flour consistency and add to the dough. Stir in chocolate chips until fully incorporated.
