  • 1 lb flank steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1 carrot (peeled and julienned)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced into strips)
  • 1/3 cup green onions (sliced)
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves (grated)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 2 Tbsp neutral oil
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Sriracha (or added to taste)
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions

  1. Coat beef slices in cornstarch; set aside.
  2. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, water, ginger, garlic, and Sriracha in a bowl for the sauce.
  3. Heat oil and butter in a skillet; stir-fry carrots and bell peppers until crisp-tender.
  4. Increase heat; sear coated beef slices until crispy on both sides.
  5. Return vegetables to the skillet, add green onions and sauce; simmer until thickened.
