  • 1 cup Glutinous Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • ½ cup Hot Water (or as needed)
  • Refined Oil (for deep frying)
  • ½ cup Caster Sugar
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix caster sugar and ground cinnamon for the coating; set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and butter. Slowly add hot water until the mixture is moist but not sticky. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  3. Shape the dough into small balls.
  4. Heat refined oil in a pot over medium-low heat. Fry dough balls until golden brown (3 to 5 minutes), turning occasionally.
  5. Remove doughnuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. While warm, coat each doughnut in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
