  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 and 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using an electric mixer until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs; mix until combined.
  2. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt) into the wet mixture until a dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  3. Divide the dough into ten balls (about 140 grams each), pressing extra chocolate chips on top if desired. Chill in the refrigerator for at least three hours or freeze for one hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Place cookie balls on sheets with space between them and bake for 12-16 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  5. Let cool on sheets for five minutes before enjoying warm; sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
