  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and set aside.
  3. Place the meatballs in an even layer in the crockpot without overcrowding them.
  4. In another bowl, mix together beef broth and French onion soup mix; pour over the meatballs.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. About 15 minutes before serving, add shredded mozzarella cheese on top and cover until melted.
