  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1” pieces
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Flour, for dredging
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream

Instructions

  1. Season and coat the chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and flour.
  2. In a hot skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil and sear the chicken in batches until browned; remove from the pan.
  3. Add butter along with sliced mushrooms and chopped onions to the skillet; sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic; cook for about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up bits from the pan, then return the chicken to cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream until heated through but do not boil; season as needed before serving.
