  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder, adjust to heat preference
  • Salt and sugar, to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, smoked paprika, grated ginger, minced garlic, and salt. Add chicken chunks and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook marinated chicken until browned (7-10 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. Prepare the sauce: Sauté chopped onion in the same skillet until translucent. Stir in tomato paste and tomato puree, then bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream along with chili powder. Adjust seasoning with salt and sugar if needed.
  4. Combine: Return cooked chicken to the skillet; simmer on low for another 10 minutes.
  5. Make garlic sauce: Mix mayonnaise, yogurt, minced garlic, and lemon juice until smooth.
