  • 1/8 cup flour
  • 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1.5 cups half & half
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 16 ounces fresh spinach leaves (or 1 box frozen leaf spinach)
  • 5 strips crispy turkey bacon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In an oven-safe skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the flour to form a paste, then gradually add half & half and heavy cream, stirring until thickened.
  4. Mix in 1 cup of parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If too thick, add more cream.
  5. Incorporate spinach in batches until wilted.
  6. Top with remaining parmesan cheese and optional seasonings.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, then garnish with crispy turkey bacon before serving.
