Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional but recommended)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or water for a lighter option)
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt softened butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, dill, lemon juice, and chicken broth.
  4. Add heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes to create a smooth sauce.
  5. Return seared chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce. Cover and cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with extra parsley before serving hot.
