  • For Topping: ¼ cup melted unsalted butter, ½ cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In one bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Gently combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean with few crumbs attached.
  7. Cool in the pan for ten minutes before transferring to parchment paper.
  8. Brush warm bread with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
