  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey or chicken
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey or chicken, onion, garlic, sage, thyme, black pepper, and salt; mix well.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.
  4. Cut the rolled pastry into rectangles (approx. 4×6 inches). Place a spoonful of filling along one edge of each rectangle.
  5. Brush the edges with beaten egg to seal and roll tightly from the filling side.
  6. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush tops with remaining egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
