  3. Cream cooled butter and sugars together until sandy.
  4. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Gently fold in dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Chill dough for at least 1 hour (up to 72 hours for better flavor).
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
