  • 13 ounces refrigerated pizza dough
  • 67 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh basil (finely chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (grated)
  • Marinara and/or pesto (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the pizza dough into approximately 30 equal squares and the mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Place a piece of mozzarella in the center of each dough square and roll them into balls.
  4. Arrange the dough balls on the baking sheet to form aspecial occasion tree shape, seam side down.
  5. Beat together one egg with water, then brush this mixture over each dough ball.
  6. Bake for 16–18 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, melt butter and mix in half of the grated parmesan, garlic, and herbs.
  8. Brush this mixture over the baked bread and sprinkle with remaining parmesan before serving with marinara or pesto.
