  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3 oz dark chocolate bar, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.
  3. In a stand mixer, beat room temperature butter until creamy; gradually add granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg and yolk one at a time along with the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients until just combined; fold in chocolate chips and chopped dark chocolate.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour before scooping large balls onto the prepared sheet, leaving space between each.
