Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 garlic clove, smashed and peeled
  • 1 1/2 oz cream cheese
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 oz finely grated parmesan
  • 3 oz baby spinach
  • 1/2 recipe artisan pizza dough (one 15 oz dough ball)
  • 4 oz shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese (whole milk, if possible)
  • 1 oz coarsely grated pecorino
  • 4 oz marinated artichoke quarters (8-10), drained and patted dry

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream and smashed garlic clove. Bring to a gentle simmer while stirring occasionally.
  2. Once it simmers, add the cream cheese and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Stir until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  3. Add in the finely grated parmesan cheese and baby spinach; cook until the spinach wilts. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating to ensure it gets hot.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your artisan pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer it to a parchment-lined baking sheet or directly onto your preheated pizza stone.
  6. Spread an even layer of the creamy spinach parmesan sauce over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce. Add coarsely grated pecorino on top of the mozzarella. Finally, scatter marinated artichoke quarters evenly across the pizza.
  7. Place your assembled pizza in the oven (on the stone or baking sheet) and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy every bite of this flavorful artichoke pizza with spinach parmesan cream sauce!
