  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • pinch salt (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and spices.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in grated apple and gradually add chilled buttermilk until just combined.
  5. On a floured surface, pat dough into a rectangle about 1-inch thick and cut out rounds.
  6. Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, mix unsalted butter and honey for the glaze.
